What to expect from counselling .....
Counselling is about finding an answer that works for you.
Coming to counselling for the first time may seem a daunting experience, it is a big step to take, it means you are ready to make changes or gain a new perspective of your issues, whatever they might be. My aim is to create a genuine, warm, trusting relationship which enables clients to find solutions to whatever difficulties they are experiencing. I provide a flexible approach and offer an empathic, down to earth , non-judgemental experience, in a safe, confidential environment.
Anxiety can have a debilitating affect on daily life, through counselling you can learn how to manage your anxiety by exploring your thoughts and how this reflects on your behaviours.
There are times in all our lives when we are faced with difficult situations, leaving us feeling confused anxious, angry, depressed unable to move forward.
Counselling is a collaborative process between the client and counsellor, which helps to identify how our thoughts can affect our behaviours and feelings. It’s about making informed choices, and recognising our own strengths and the ability to find solutions through becoming more self -aware.
Linda uses various counselling approaches which are tailored to the clients needs.
Linda has a specific interests in relationship counselling and anxiety disorders.
The way Linda works is by building a trusting and empathic relationship with clients, encouraging them to recognise their own strengths, so they gain greater self awareness leading to a more productive and meaningful way of living.
Each session will last 50 minutes to 1 hour.
There will be no cancellation fee if notified within 24 hrs of appointment.
Appointments are available weekdays, evenings, and Saturday mornings.
I offer long and short term therapy. There are no set limits on the amount
of sessions required - every person has different needs.
